In celebration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), His Royal Majesty, *Alaiyeluwa Oba Abdul Kabir Adesegun Bashir*, the Olu Oko Baba Agba of Oworonshoki Kingdom, Kosofe Local Government Area, Lagos State, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah across Nigeria and the global community on the auspicious occasion of Maulud Nabbiyy (1448 AH / 2026).
In a goodwill message commemorating the holy day, the monarch highlighted the timeless virtues and exemplary life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), describing him as the ultimate guide, role model, and beacon of divine mercy.
*Emulating the Prophet’s Legacy of Peace and Righteousness*
Reflecting on the significance of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, Oba Abdul Kabir Adesegun Bashir urged Muslims and people of all faiths to internalize the core teachings of Islam’s most revered messenger—particularly the values of compassion, humility, tolerance, and unwavering devotion to the Almighty.
> “On this blessed occasion of Maulud Nabbiyy, we joyfully commemorate the birth of the Seal of the Prophets, our ultimate guide and role model, Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him). His life remains a shining example of love, compassion, humility, honesty, and unwavering devotion to Allah,” the royal message stated.
The monarch further enjoined citizens to leverage this sacred celebration to foster peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and community development, emphasizing that sustainable progress can only thrive in an atmosphere of harmony and shared understanding.
