News of Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi former Agege LG chairman’s defection to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) wasn’t a surprise though it continued to generate reactions among Agege residents, APC political families; stalwarts and stakeholders.
Reacting to the development, Director General of the Olugbenga Michael Abiola Campaign Organisation, Otunba Sola Osolana, said the move would strengthen the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Agege and it’s environs.
Osolana attributed Egunjobi’s political influence largely to the party structure under which he operated, while contrasting it with what he described as the grassroots engagement of Hon. Gbenga Abiola, popularly known as Agbelebu.
“Egunjobi’s defection to APM will increase APC votes in Agege. He is not the residents kind of person ,” the DG campaign affirmed..
Osolana also claimed that Abiola had built a stronger relationship with residents through his accessibility and direct engagement with communities.
Agbelebu is ten times more popular and loved by residents,” Agbelebu DG campaign Otunba Olusola Osolana concluded.
