


An aircraft belonging to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has crashed in the Igbokoda area of Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State.
According to Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, the aircraft, identified by tail number NGR 931, was carrying 25 passengers and seven crew members — 32 people in total.
Keyamo said air traffic controllers lost contact with the aircraft at about 9:13 a.m. while it was travelling from Benin to Lagos. The wreckage was subsequently located close to the Naval Base in Igbokoda.
The Nigerian Air Force has confirmed that the aircraft was on a routine mission and said search-and-rescue operations are ongoing in coordination with relevant authorities and emergency agencies.
As of the latest reports, authorities have not released confirmed information on casualties or the condition of those on board. Further details are expected as rescue operations continue.
