Chairperson NAWOJ Lagos Jumoke Falayi-Johnson and Dr. Adeola Ekin during presentation of Nomination & Expression of Interest Forms at the Chapter’s Congress on Saturday, 17th October, which held at the Secretariat in Iyalla, Alausa, Ikeja.

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Lagos State Chapter, has officially endorsed its immediate past Chairperson, Mrs. Adeola Taibat Ekine, for the position of Deputy National Chairperson ahead of the association’s National Delegates Conference and Elections, scheduled to hold in Kano from November 23 to 25, 2026.

The endorsement was unanimously declared during the Lagos State Chapter Congress on Saturday, October 17, 2026, following the official presentation of her nomination and expression-of-interest forms. Members cited her proven leadership track record, extensive professional background, and steadfast commitment to the welfare and career development of female journalists across Nigeria.

Speaking on behalf of the chapter, Chairperson of NAWOJ Lagos, Jumoke Falayi-Johnson, expressed firm confidence in Mrs. Ekine’s ability to bring visionary leadership to the national executive.

We are confident that, as Deputy National Chairperson, she will bring renewed energy, strategic direction, and unity to NAWOJ.”
