The Registrar – General, Institute of Criminology and Strategic Studies ( ICSS ), Dr Adekunle Aderemi, Dfcss has officially, made public the First Annual International Conference of the institute on National Security in collaboration with Lagos State University.
The Chairman of the maiden International Conference is General Olusegun Obasanjo, former President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The keynote address speaker is Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola CON, FCA ( YAYI ), Senator representing Ogun West.

The theme of the maiden International Conference, is “Harmony In Security: Bridging the Gap between Theory and Practice,” set to deliver benefits to participants from various walks of life such as; researchers and scholars in criminology, security studies, political science, strategic studies, peace and conflict resolution, law public administration and related fields.
The conference is also aimed at capturing all members of various security personnel of the Military, Police and Paramilitary, Private Guard Company Practitioners, policy makers, Government Functionaries, Captains of Industries, Entrepreneurs, Traditional Institutions, Clerics, Security, Safety and Technological Experts as well as Students and other relevant stakeholders et ce tera.
