It was sweet bitter experience for late iconic Yoruba music maestro, Stephen Oladipupo Owomoyela, with stage name Orlando Owoh, while he was in dreaded Police detention in Alagbon, Ikoyi area of Lagos
Alagbon is reputed to be known as ‘Colombian Den’ where suspects experience ‘ Hell on Earth”.
The Alagbon album was his best hit song, he sold over 5 million copies. The album still remains evergreen today.
Orlando Owoh effusively praised Aunty Ayo in the album for her tenderness and caring towards him while he was in Police custody.
Saturday, the 28th of September, 2024 ACP Ayodele Fadairo popularly known as ‘Aunty Ayo Lalagbon’ transited into eternal glory .
If the dead do see each other really, Aunty Ayo Lalagbon’ would definitely re unite with Orlando Owoh who had passed away almost 20 years ago.
