It was a memorable gathering as creme la crema in the society , in the media world witnessed 12th anniversary lecture and investiture of distinguished individual into The Realnews Hall of Fame.
The event held on Tuesday the 19th of November at Sheraton hotel, Lagos with Theme ” Africa In World Shifting Geopolitics: Matters Arising On Demography, Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Natural Resources” was very insightful as keynote Addressee Dr. Karim El Aynaoii President, Policy center for the news South Rabat , Morocco , a Moroccan was very blunt regarding migration issues, has a difficult task for European countries, and it effects on the political landscape . Dr Karim having had the experience of a particular rejection in the recent time believe it’s high time African contribute the best , reform our policies, so as to put in place better strategy to creating jobs for the benefit of Africans.
Nigeria Former Chief of Staff during President Buhari government Prof. Ibrahim Agboola Gambari applauded Realnews chosen theme of lecture, Amb. Gambari, implored participants to be proud of such discourse which appealed to the government, to try to be more considerate and join hands to devote much time to strengthen the Economic Community of West African States, and it’s institutions, in order to better our society, giving room for gender equality most especially women and children is a general gender advantage, His words: ‘ it is high time we defined our own problems in Africa, as we have to live in the multiple centres power of interest, that we cannot afford to sit on the sidelines in Africa, but we must speak out to advocate for policies readjustment, positive possibilities that will build our own security to protect both our Women and the children Pro. Gambari concluded.
Representative UN Women Generation equality Mrs. Beatrice Eyong congratulated Realnews for a well packaged event . Her speech Clearfield the importance of women as no country can develop nor survive without gender equality. Eyong believe women should be allow to participate in all government system and and economic development in order to achieve a meaningful society.
The feminist emphasized over 18million dropped out of school children in Nigeria with 60% of girl child, she clamoured these ones should be given second chance in education for a better encouragement of Women representatives in decision making in Nigeria.
‘”Faces of the Women must not be seen as a face of poverty in Africa, 15 percent of Household in Africa are led by the women.” Eyong concluded.
CEO Amaltech Limited, Engr. Shehu Tijani Abdullahi was delighted been Inducted into Realnews Hall of Fame, He believe in Nigeria potentiality as Nigeria is blessed with whatever natural resources but for negligence by the government most Nigerian run from pillar to poles , He thereby urged Nigerians especially the youth not to be discouraged nor look down on themselves, but hold forth , with talents, impactful knowledge in this digital world nothing whatsoever is difficult to achieve.
Maureen Chigbo, Publisher/Editor of Realnews Magazine Online, reflected on the impact of the discussions. As she highlighted the role of Realnews in promoting , creating awareness and solutions to societal issues.
