


Senator Yunus Akintunde has commenced a free eye medical treatment and screening programme for constituents of the Oyo Central Senatorial District.
In a statement made available to the media by Kunle Olatunji, Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Senator, the initiative is aimed at providing eye care services, medical tests, and immediate treatment for constituents experiencing various eye-related health challenges.
The programme will run from Wednesday to Thursday across selected local government areas within the Ibadan Outer City Zone of Oyo Central Senatorial District, including Egbeda, Ona Ara, Oluyole, Lagelu, and Akinyele Local Government Areas.
Qualified eye-care medical professionals will be on ground at designated locations in each local government from 9:00 a.m. daily to attend to beneficiaries with varying degrees of eye conditions throughout the two-day exercise.
Speaking on the initiative, Senator Akintunde reaffirmed his commitment to the health and wellbeing of his constituents, noting that the programme aligns with his campaign promises.
> “As part of my commitments since the campaign period and upon assuming office as a Senator, I remain dedicated to ensuring that the health and wellbeing of our people remain a top priority,” he said.
The Senator further assured that the eye medical outreach would be extended to other zones within the Oyo Central Senatorial District.
