The protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure ( CNAI ), which encompass the oil and gas, transportation, power and energy, telecommunications, education, health sectors et ce tera remain one of the core statutory mandates of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ) amongst many others.

In pursuance of the aforementioned mandate of the NSCDC, the Commandant General, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD., mni, OFR has remained resilient and dogged in deploying both operational and whole of the people approach in combatting the issues of vandalism, illegal dredging, illegal mining and all forms of sabotage of the nation’s economic resources .

It is in the light of the above that the State Commandant, NSCDC, Lagos State Command Mr Adedotun Keshinro directed before the close of year 2025 that all Divisional Offices of the Command cascade the community engagement on protection of CNAI to the grassroots in their Area of Responsibilities ( AoR ).
