The protection of critical national assets and infrastructure such as roads, bridges, telecommunication cables, power and energy, oil and gas pipelines, rail et ce tera in Nigeria are amongst the core mandates of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ).

In the light of the above, the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor, Office of Infrastructure, Engineer Olufemi Olubunmi Daramola in a strategic meeting with the State Commandant, NSCDC, Lagos State Command, Mr Adedotun Keshinro and his team today, Wednesday, 4th March, 2026 states the need for his office to synergize with the NSCDC with a renewed vigour in a bid to curb vandalism of manholes on the road infrastructure, cover slabs on the bridges and illegal occupations under the bridges.
