As part of our continued community engagement and commitment to inclusive representation, I had a meaningful interaction with the leadership and members of the Association of Persons Living with Disabilities, Agege Chapter.
The meeting was particularly remarkable, as the association was well represented by persons from different ethnic backgrounds, networks, interests and sections of the disability community.
During the engagement, I highlighted some of the people-oriented initiatives we have carefully designed to address their needs, with particular emphasis on our Automated Food Bank Initiative, which places persons living with disabilities among its priority beneficiaries.
I reiterated that our vision of representation is one where nobody is forgotten, marginalised or left behind. We believe that access to basic necessities, social protection, economic opportunities and human dignity should never be determined by physical ability or circumstance.
I was deeply encouraged by their appreciation of our previous interventions, sustained empowerment efforts and commitment to supporting the association.
In a significant show of solidarity, members of the association declared their full support for my candidacy, as well as that of the All Progressives Congress candidates across the board, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat and other APC candidates.
For me, this engagement goes beyond political conversations. It reinforces the importance of listening, building trust and ensuring that the voices of persons living with disabilities are meaningfully reflected in the decisions that affect their lives.
A society cannot truly progress when any section of its population is left behind.
Our commitment remains clear: representation must translate into impact, inclusion must translate into opportunity, and governance must deliver dignity for all.
AGBELEBU: PURPOSE-DRIVEN REPRESENTATION. INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT. LASTING IMPACT.
