The second annual charity event organized by Osaro’s Helping Hand Foundation was a resounding success, drawing over 300 beneficiaries, including widowers, the elderly, and the less privileged. Held at the Palace of the Fidimolu of Elepe Kingdom in Ikorodu, Lagos, this year’s event showcased the foundation’s growth and impact, further strengthened by a strategic partnership with Edo Union Denmark.

A Royal Welcome

The event began with a warm reception from His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ganiyu Omotayo, Fidimolu of Elepe Kingdom. Oba Ganiyu praised the founder, Mrs. Rosemary Osaro, for her selfless commitment to supporting vulnerable members of the community. He described the foundation’s initiative as a beacon of hope and encouraged beneficiaries to remain orderly and grateful.

Leadership Speaks

Hon. Peter Omorodion, Chairman of the event, thanked attendees for their punctuality and acknowledged the immense efforts of Mrs. Osaro. He emphasized that the initiative was not politically motivated but driven by a genuine desire to uplift the less fortunate.

“Mrs. Osaro is a woman with an uncommon heart,” Peter said, urging beneficiaries to pray for the foundation’s continued success and to extend kindness within their own capacity. He further promised his ongoing support for future editions of the event.

Stakeholder Mr. Ernest Omorodion underscored the importance of partnerships in expanding the foundation’s reach. He encouraged beneficiaries to consider becoming contributors in subsequent years, emphasizing that collective efforts could break the cycle of poverty.

Gratitude from Beneficiaries

The event resonated deeply with beneficiaries, who expressed their gratitude for the foundation’s generosity.

Alhaja Toluwalashe, a recipient, prayed for the foundation and its partners, noting the harsh economic realities many Nigerians face.

Elder Olaiya commended the foundation for its dedication to supporting the elderly and prayed for divine blessings to multiply its resources.

Founder’s Vision: Mrs. Rosemary Osaro

In an interview, Mrs. Rosemary Osaro reflected on her childhood dream of helping others. She expressed gratitude for the opportunity to fulfill this dream, stating, “I was praying to God for the opportunity to help others, and now I am living that dream.”

Acknowledging the economic challenges, she highlighted the rising cost of food and its impact on struggling families. “Even staples like garri and rice have become luxuries for many,” she lamented.

Mrs. Osaro called on individuals and organizations, both local and international, to join the foundation in its fight against hunger. “No one should be left in hunger,” she said, pledging to expand the foundation’s reach in the coming years.

Message from Edo Union Denmark

Representing Edo Union Denmark, President Kingsley Ideh and Vice President Mrs. Helen Obazuaye extended their appreciation to Osaro’s Helping Hands Foundation.

“We are proud to partner with this remarkable initiative and are inspired by the dedication of Mrs. Osaro and her team,” Mr. Ideh stated.

Mrs. Obazuaye added, “It is through partnerships like these that we can create sustainable solutions for hunger and poverty. Together, we are building bridges of hope, love, and support.”

A Growing Legacy

The event marked a significant milestone for Osaro’s Helping Hand Foundation, demonstrating remarkable growth in its ability to support the less privileged. With the ongoing partnership of Edo Union Denmark and other like-minded organizations, the foundation is poised to make an even greater impact in the years ahead.

Looking Ahead

The event concluded with renewed commitments from stakeholders, partners, and the community to fight hunger and poverty, proving that small acts of kindness can lead to lasting change. As Mrs. Osaro aptly said, “Sharing will enable prosperity among the people.”

Osaro’s Helping Hand Foundation continues to inspire hope, proving that compassion and collaboration can create a brighter future for all.
