The Governorship Candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Oyo State, Hon. Kunle Olatunji KTJ, has reassured party members, supporters, admirers and the electorate of his strategic preparedness and determination to emerge victorious in the February 2027 governorship election.

Olatunji expressed confidence that his growing political acceptability, strategic engagements and purposeful campaign approach would translate into widespread electoral support, particularly among the professional and business communities, the political elite, youths, artisans and grassroots electorates across Oyo State.

He, however, cautioned his supporters against being distracted or provoked by what he described as the activities of political detractors allegedly determined to undermine his governorship ambition through unfounded rumours, fabricated allegations, negative insinuations and unsubstantiated remarks.

The ADP candidate maintained that he was fully aware of the activities of certain individuals whose actions, according to him, were aimed at discouraging prospective supporters and frustrating his political aspirations.

“My detractors are simply myopic. They will be shocked by the outcome of the 2027 governorship election. I am fully aware of their activities, but I have deliberately chosen the path of maturity, restraint and purposeful engagement rather than allowing myself to be distracted by their antics,” Olatunji stated.

He explained that his decision to remain focused was informed by his faith in Almighty God, whom he acknowledged as the ultimate giver of power and authority, as well as his confidence in the collective wisdom of the electorate whose mandate he seeks.

Olatunji urged his supporters to exercise restraint and avoid engaging in unnecessary exchanges with individuals spreading what he described as misleading narratives about his personality, political intentions and governorship ambition.

He further encouraged anyone genuinely concerned about issues surrounding his candidacy to seek clarification directly from him rather than rely on rumours, hearsay or information circulated by individuals whose motives might be questionable.

According to him, politics should be driven by ideas, policies, competence and the capacity to deliver measurable development rather than character assassination, deliberate misinformation and personal vendettas.

‘My Ambition Is About Service, Not Personal Financial Gains’

Reaffirming the motivation behind his governorship ambition, Olatunji declared that his aspiration was not driven by personal financial interests, pecuniary benefits or the pursuit of political prominence.

He explained that his mission was to establish a new governance paradigm anchored on purposeful leadership, accountability, strategic economic planning, human capacity development and sustainable socio-economic transformation in Oyo State.

He observed that political competition often comes with intrigues, betrayals and attempts to manipulate public perception, stressing that discerning citizens must learn to distinguish between genuine political discourse and deliberate attempts to mislead the electorate.

The governorship candidate added that the coming weeks would provide greater opportunities for the electorate to assess the character, competence, intentions and preparedness of the various political actors seeking to govern the state.

He noted that he had deliberately avoided the politics of personal attacks and unsubstantiated allegations, preferring instead to concentrate on issue-based engagement, developmental politics and practical solutions to the challenges confronting Oyo State.

Strategic Preparations Will Set KTJ2027 Apart

Speaking further on his campaign strategy, Olatunji expressed confidence in the effectiveness of his ongoing strategic planning, stakeholder engagements, media relations and political brand positioning.

He said these efforts were designed to strengthen public awareness of his candidacy, deepen engagement with critical stakeholders and communicate his vision for a more prosperous, inclusive and economically vibrant Oyo State.

According to him, the impact of these preparations would become increasingly evident in the coming weeks as his campaign intensifies its engagement with the electorate across the state’s geographical and socio-economic constituencies.

He expressed optimism that the growing visibility of his campaign, coupled with its emphasis on credible leadership and practical development solutions, would attract wider acceptance and support.

“I am not desperate, but I am determined. I am not distracted, but I am focused. My objective is to win the confidence of the good people of Oyo State through credible ideas, strategic engagement and a compelling vision for our collective future,” he declared.

“Although, it is sad and unfortunate watching such individuals with their defiant determination to cause hitches in my programs and expectations, but Almighty God has proven to be my pillar of strength raising great minds and destiny helpers to whom I am eternally grateful for their trust, confidence despite the vulnerability to insinuations and deliberate mischief of my Traducers, the vast acceptability and resilience of the electorates is quite encouraging as I am making steady progress on the aspirations”

Olatunji Promises a New Direction for Oyo State

The ADP governorship candidate reiterated his conviction that Oyo State requires a new direction in leadership and governance, one that prioritises the welfare of its citizens, economic opportunities, responsible management of public resources and sustainable development.

He argued that the state possesses enormous economic, agricultural, commercial, educational, cultural and human resources that can be harnessed to improve living standards, create employment opportunities and reposition Oyo State as a leading subnational economy in Nigeria.

Olatunji maintained that his ambition was driven by a determination to change the prevailing narratives through competent leadership, professional collaboration, prudent resource management and policies that place the interests of the people above partisan considerations.

He called on the electorate to look beyond political rhetoric and evaluate candidates based on their capacity to provide effective leadership, manage public resources responsibly and develop practical solutions to the challenges facing the state.

Reaffirming his confidence in the forthcoming election, Olatunji expressed his belief that, by the grace of Almighty God and with the support of the electorate, he would emerge as the next Executive Governor of Oyo State in 2027.

He concluded by urging his supporters to remain steadfast, peaceful and committed to the campaign, assuring them that his focus would remain on building a credible political movement capable of delivering quality leadership, excellent governance and sustainable development for the people of Oyo State.

“Our mission is clear: to restore public confidence in governance, unlock the enormous potential of Oyo State and build a future in which every citizen has a genuine opportunity to prosper. That is the objective I stand for, and I remain resolute in pursuing it,” Olatunji affirmed.
