- ARREST OF SUSPECTED CULTISTS AND RECOVERY OF TWO PUMP ACTION GUNS, AND TWENTY-FOUR ROUNDS OF LIVE CARTRIDGES: Acting on credible intelligence, operatives of CP – Special Assignment Team ( CP – SAT ) at about 1345hrs of 3/2/2025 trailed and arrested a suspected cultist and gun runner on the command wanted list named Stephen Oma Odu “M” 25yrs of Obagho Community in Warri North LGA Delta State at Sapele town. Acting on the strength of his confession, another suspected cultist known as Abel Festus aka “TOMPOLO “m” 42 yrs of Oghareki Community in Ethiope West LGA Delta State was arrested at Oghara town. Upon search of his apartment, two (2) pump action guns and twenty-four (24) rounds of live cartridges were recovered. Two other suspected cultists were also arrested during the raid including Godspower Moses m” aka power of Kokori community in Ethiope West LGA Delta State and Oloriode Owebe m” 24 years of Oghareki community in Ethiope West LGA Delta State. Preliminary investigations revealed that they were suspected members of the Vikings’ confraternity. Investigation is ongoing.
- ARREST OF GUN RUNNING COUPLE/ASSOCIATE AND RECOVERY OF ONE FABRICATED BERETTA PISTOL: On 09/03/2025 at about 1430hrs operatives of CP – Special Assignment Team ( CP – SAT ) acting on credible intelligence, carried out a sting operation at the residence of Mr & Mrs Joshua Bogbon Godwell ‘m’ located at Okpe LG of Delta State. Upon their arrest a fabricated Barretta pistol with a single live ammunition planned to be delivered to a client in Sapele was recovered, the wife by name Mrs Uche Joshua has admitted to being the dispatcher and she confessed to having delivered several arms as directed by her husband to various clients within Warri and Sapele. Further investigation also led to the arrest of one Junior Moses Ogedegbe ‘m’ 30yrs of Useifurun community in Ughelli South LGA of Delta State who is also a member of their gang. Efforts to recover other arms and arrest more suspects are ongoing.
- ARREST OF NOTORIOUS CULTIST / SUSPECTED KIDNAPPERS AND RECOVERY OF ONE CUT-TO-SIZE GUN: In a bid to curtail the incessant cases of cultism/kidnapping around Mosogar and its environs, acting on intelligence gathered on the activities of suspected kidnapers and armed robbers, operatives of CP Special Assignment team on 09/3/2025 at about 0630hrs, stormed Jesse and Mosogar towns where they effected the arrest of Festus Oboyo m” 26yrs ‘m’ of Igbopa community in Ethiope West LGA Delta State, a notorious / suspected kidnapper/internet fraudster in whose possession a locally made gun with a single cartridge was recovered. Upon further search of his apartment, an “FBI “ impersonated enlargement carrying his picture which he used for his internet fraud was also recovered. Other members of his gang which include Favor omowo “m” 29yrs aka “Voltage” of Jesse town in Ethiope West LGA Delta State and Gift Omowo “26yrs of Jesse community in Ethiope West LGA Delta State were also arrested. Trailing of his other fleeing gang members is on course while investigation is ongoing.
