The Executive Chairman of Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area, Lagos, Southwest, Nigeria,Isola Jimoh Abiodun has assured youths of the council that his commitment to their education and empowerment is absolute.
The council chairman gave the assurance on Tuesday,9th September,2025 at the council secretariat, during the official presentation of free GCE forms to 500 indigent youths selected across the seven political wards in the council.
Isola, while congratulating the students for being lucky to benefit from his administration’s first free GCE programme charged them to take the opportunity seriously by studying hard and ensure that they use the GCE examination as a stepping stone to greater achievements in their life.
He reminded them that education remains the strongest foundation upon which any nation can use to secure a brighter future for its youths.
The chairman of community development committee (CDC) in Agbado Oke-Odo Lcda,comrade Ernest Kasumu on behalf of the students and their parents, expressed appreciation to the council chairman for investing huge amount of money in the educational advancement of the beneficiaries, adding that by providing the free GCE forms for the youths, the council chairman has demonstrated his readiness and determination to secure a brighter future for youths of the council.
The event was attended by majority of the beneficiaries, the council’s vice chairman, Hon Shobayo Kehinde, the Leader of the Legislative Arm,Hon Giwa Wasiu, Deputy Chief Whip of the house,Hon Bukola Lawal and Hon Olabisi Oyebola.
Others in attendance are, the council manager,Mrs Fregene Gbemisola, Chief Of Staff to the council chairman,Mr AbdulRasheed Rabiu, secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Agbado Oke-Odo lcda,Hon Shittu,head of education department,Mrs Oyalowo Sarah, the council’s public affairs officer,Mr Rabiu Hassan and other officials of the council.
