Centre for Human and Social Economic Rights ‘s recent press conference on the 17th of September, 2025 at Excellent Hotel, ogba area of Lagos state was of a pathetic story and emotional as the families of seven Nigerians slain Owode-Onirin traders expressed the horrible manner live was sniffed out of their beloved sons by happy trigger police officers in the month of August, 2025 and aftermath experiences.

It was reported that on Wednesday, the 27th of August,2025 these armless Nigeria traders of Owode-Onirin motor spare parts market were gunned down in cold blood by four happy- trigger policemen amidst armed thugs allegedly mobilized , sponsor by Mr Abiodun Hakeem Ariori, a notorious land grabber .
This horrible invasion came shortly after an illegal demolition of over 1,000 shops carried out despite the matter being before the Lagos state High Court .
On this black Wednesday, thousand of livelihood were destroyed, dozens of Owode-Onirin motor spare parts traders sustained grievous injuries, some battling for survival at the hospital as families thrown into sorrow, poverty and despair.
The Slain Owode-Onirin motor spare parts traders are:
Seyi Akinloye, Adeoye Taiwo,Dare Muftau, Aderemi Adeoye,Idowu Temilola and Wale Adebayo.
The Human Rights activists headed by Com. Alex Omotehinse not pleased with silence act of the Lagos state government regarding the matter tendered before Lagos House of Assembly for long without response before the Wednesday massacre which was a stain on the conscience of the Lagos state government and a reminder of when government fails to protect; it betrays its people.
In conclusion, the Group requested President Bola Ahmed Tinubu quick intervention and prompt justice for the striving to make ends meet Owode-Onirin motor spare parts slain traders by demanding;
arrest, trial of Ariori Abiodun Hakeem for murder, unlawful demolition and terrorism against Owode-Onirin traders,
public disclosure, persecution of the four police officers to serve as a deterrent to other uniform men and women who abuse weapons to spill innocent blood,
removal of Mr Lawal Pedro ( SAN) Lagos Attorney General,
adequate compensation and medical supports for families of Slain traders as well as permanent security deployment to Owode-Onirin Market to prevent future violence.
