The Chairman of Conference 57 in Lagos state Hon. Sesan Olowa has applauded his Collegues of the 57 local government and local council development area (LCDA) across Lagos for their collective efforts in making sure every eligible resident within their territories obtains their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), Olowa said this act is a vital civic responsibility for one not to be disenfranchised during any future election .
In a brief interview with the media at the Conference 57 Seminar held at the Radisson Hotel GRA Ikeja Lagos on Wednesday the 17th of September,2025
The Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government stressed the importance of continuity on Grassroots development, he implored colleagues to ensure they build on what has been achieved in the past in whatever project each Local Government must have outlined for any execution in their community.
Olowa further expressed the vital role of local government leadership in supporting the Themes Plus Agenda, and governance of Lagos State towards promoting the grassroots development as well as collaboration and shared learnings among local leadership. His words:
“The role of the chairman is to coordinate the affairs of the conference and to support the governance of the state,” he said. “This platform also gives us the opportunity to learn from one another and improve service delivery across our local governments.”
Olowa emphasized on how Ibeju-Lekki LG residents already benefiting from several government initiatives, and the dividends of Democracy. He said government is a continuous process, and his administration remains committed to enhancing health facilities, infrastructure, and education for the benefits of the good people of Ibeju Lekki and environs .
Hon. Olowa said education is very paramount and his administration has a clear and focused plans by improving infrastructure in public schools, support less-privileged students, and equip them with modern vocational and digital skills.
Hon. Sesan Olowa is indeed very proud of Ibeju Lekki LG’s growth, development and continuous improvement that will stand as a role model for other Lagos state Local Council and Lcda.
