The family of the Late Apostle Jacob Oladele Ola was left astonished after exhuming his remains yesterday at Ojileru, Oworonshoki, Lagos, following the demolition of both his house and church by the Lagos State Government.
The demolition has forced the family to relocate the grave of the respected cleric, who also served as the former Chairman of the Ojileru Landlords Association. To their amazement, they discovered that his body and clothing were remarkably preserved even after five years of burial.
Speaking for the family, his son, Special Apostle Jeremiah Oludare Ola, said the spirit of the Most Special Apostle has not left his original residence and urged the Lagos State Government to halt the ongoing demolition and return their land. He also called on the government to compensate them adequately for the properties that were demolished so they can rebuild their family house.
He added that the demolished church, The Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim OKE OLORUN TEDO (Found Tabernacle), must also be restored as part of the compensation.
The family also distanced themselves from the ongoing compensation by LASURA, which residents have described as a propaganda stunt, and urged the Lagos State Government to adequately compensate all those whose houses have been demolished.
Residents described the discovery as extraordinary, highlighting the Apostle’s spiritual legacy and influence in the community. The family has urged authorities to exercise caution and respect for properties that house graves during demolition exercises.
The body is scheduled to be reburied today at his residence in Ifo, Ogun State.
