

The Member representing Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Akin Alabi, has disbursed fifty million naira (₦50,000,000) to constituents as part of a structured empowerment programme targeted at party members, traders, and artisans across the constituency.
Under the scheme, each beneficiary received one hundred thousand naira each, (₦100,000), while the programme is to be implemented in phases over ten months, with a total projected disbursement of five million naira (₦500,000,000).
The lawmaker explained that the grants are designed to provide direct financial support to traders and artisans, boost small-scale businesses, and stimulate economic activities within Egbeda and Ona Ara Local Government Areas.
Beneficiaries expressed appreciation and happiness over the intervention, describing it as timely and impactful in view of prevailing economic challenges, and commended the lawmaker for his consistency in delivering people-oriented programmes.
In a related development, Hon Alabi also inspected the ongoing reconstruction of the Ibadan–Ife–Ilesha Road, which cuts across the Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency. Engineers handling the project informed the lawmaker that asphalt laying is scheduled to commence on Monday, after which concrete pavement will be applied to ensure durability and long-term road integrity.
The inspection was carried out as part of the lawmaker’s oversight responsibility to ensure the quality execution and timely delivery of federal infrastructure projects within the constituency.
Hon Alabi reiterated his commitment to effective representation, assuring constituents that empowerment initiatives and infrastructural development would continue to receive priority attention.
