The elected Chairman of Agbado Oke-Odo local council development area, Lcda Lagos, Alhaji Ishola Jimoh Abiodun assumed office at the council secretariat on Monday 28th of July, 2025 .
Ishola was received by staffs ,led by the Council Manager, Mrs Fregene Gbemisola, shortly after exchanging pleasantries with the mammoth crowd within the council secretariat, proceeded to the council’s legislative chamber to perform his first major official engagement, the swearing in of newly elected seven councillors, and proclamation of the 6th Legislative Council.
In his inaugural address at the ceremony, the council chairman expressed his appreciation to leaders, members of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the council area, the residents who gave him the mandate to serve them, through their votes, during the July 12 local government election in Lagos State.
Abiodun promised to live up to the expectations of residents of Agbado Oke-Odo, just as he urged the elected councillors to cooperate and collaborate with his administration to move the council forward for desired dividend of democracy for the good people of Agbado Oke Odo.
The council chairman assured residents that he would operate an open door policy and work assiduously to fulfill his electoral promises in line with the THEMES+ agenda of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration in Lagos state.
The swearing in of the seven elected councillors was conducted by the council’s legal officer , Mrs Adewunmi Iyabode.
The legislators sworn in are, Hon Busola Afolabi, from Ward A, Hon Aderupoko Yusuf, from Ward B,Hon Jimoh Lateef from Ward C , Hon Olabisi Oyebola from Ward D.
Others are, Hon Bukola Lawal from Ward E, Hon Obaleye Kayode from Ward F and Hon Giwa Aduragbemi from Ward G.
The event was attended by Vice Chairman of the council, Alhaji Shobayo Kehinde,former House of Representatives Member, Alimosho Federal Constituency,Hon. Oyeyemi Adedeji, APC chairman in Agbado Oke-Odo lcda,Hon Yunusa Mukaila, APC chieftain in Alimosho, Shodiya Olusegun, immediate past leader of the legislative house, Hon Olatunji Ogunyemi, wards chairmen, other party leaders, markets leaders, management and staff of Agbado Oke-Odo local council development area.
