It was a carnival of praise and worship ; a unique sunday service at God’s Kingdom Christian Centre International Church ( GKCC) as the General Overseer Rev. Dr. John Kome who is also a chieftain of Nigeria opposition party PDP icelebrated 60th birthday.
Rev. Dr. John Kome; a God General with many portfolios encountered Jesus’Christ at age 10 as a primary school pupil at Ijebu Waterside area of Ogun state where he resided with his parent.
With God’s anointing from the womb Rev. Dr. Kome scale through all hurdles to attained age 60 could not but praise God Almighty for his faithfulness over the years.
In his brief insightful testimony Rev. Kome testifies how cruel the life is but God’s faithfulness saw him through.
The former People Democratic Party for Lagos House of Assembly and Lagos East House of Representatives aspirant affirmed his passion to serve Nigerians is aligned with God’s will.
The event unfolded with insightful lecture titled ” Christians in Politics, Not an option ‘
Though politics is a dirty game with stenches yet Mazi Sam Ohabunwa former PDP presidential candidate and a special guest speaker at the Jubilee celebration believe with God chosen ones at the corridors of power; sky is the limit for a better Nigeria.
Mazi Sam urges Christians to stand in one accord with prayer of intersection, stand in gap in support to any Christians wanting to serve his or her people wholeheartedly in politics . Pray that the chosen by God will not compromise, pray against principalities and powers of corrupt, ungodly aspirants
The Atoona Oodua of Yorubaland , P eople Democratic Party’s stalwart Chief Olabode George and his wife were the parent of the day.
Chief Olabode George in his brief speech clamoured on unity among Nigerians. Chief Bode George affirmed God is love so there shouldn’t be discrimination among Nigerians. Regardless of tongue, tribe or race, one love keeps all together.
The PDP stalwart concluded by applauding the celebrant’s humility, patience, persistence and hopefulness as a member of Nigeria opposition party, with time accorded by God Rev. Kome political ambition is certain.
The amiable, supportive wife of the celebrant Engineer Mrs Hope Kome described her husband as a man of many part; a crusader, an evangelist, an entrepreneur a proprietor, God’s general and a General Overseer who appreciate God’s sustainability on her husband of 31years.
In the mood of her husband jubilees celebration; Rev.Mrs Kome fed, put smiles on faces of over 70 widows as it was a convenant to cater for widows as she doesn’t pray to be one.
In a brief chat with Insight Global News Editor Mrs Hope Kome said” I have a convenant that I will not be a widow; I look at the role my husband is playing; I have compassion for them anytime I remember the husband roles is missing in their lives; sincerely they need support and am glad I am doing it.”
We actually budgeted for 60 widows eventually we ended up meeting the needs of over 70 widows” It gives me joy! ( Smiles)
Rev . Mrs Hope Kome concluded as she believes the 60th birthday celebration is another phase in her husband ‘s life to wax stronger in his ministerial assignment as she wished the God’s general longevity of over century as the like of Moses and other righteous prophet of God.
The unforgettable 60th birthday celebration of Rev. Dr. John Kome added souls to the kingdom of God as over 30 converts who gave there lives to Christ during alter call were gifted Bibles.
Outstanding meritorious awards was bestowed on prominent Nigerians like Chief Bode George ” Advocate for good governance in Nigeria”, Chief Mrs Roli – Bode George*Advocate for a drug free Nigeria”, Mazi Sam Ohabunwa “Advocate for a new Nigeria” , Engineer Mrs Hope Kome” Advocate for women empowerment” to mentioned but few.
Rev. John Kome jubilee birthday also features creme la creme in political political circuit ( PDP) , education, ministries and business entrepreneurship as he concluded in his brief chat with Insight Global News Editor that”
At 60, he felt there is more to offer Nigerians . He said
” At 60 I feel that I have a new responsibility not for my family and immediate community alone but for the nation . Not just being into politics for money as people believe but to make impacts , to touch lives not only in Lagos– alone but across Nigeria and by doing this I need a broader platform ”
Hon. Rev John Kome affirmed Hon. Faleke impactful act across Ikeja constituency though being an opposition yet he adores the dividend of democracy the people are benefiting which is what he would also love to do across the country as a politician.
The celebrant Hon. Rev. John Kome founder God’s Kingdom Christian Centre Int.l Church (GKCC) whose secret to his youthful look at 60 is free mind concluded by saying some day by God’s will he sees himself at the corridor of power probably not as Nigeria president but as a voice for change , as a voice for the truth by influcing policies, procedures that will bring happiness to poor man and ease the life of common Nigerians.
The President will see that the advice given is fruitful and giving him accolades.
His words” Yes my going to Aso Villa might not be for Presidency but to work with President with a listening ears; as Voice for change, as a voice for the truth; someone who the President can rely on; call and ask what do you want? What do we do? How can we go about it? as his Personal Assistance or an alley by influcing policies, procedures that will bring happiness to poor man and ease the life of common Nigerians”
The 60th birthday celebration galore ended with a Book Launch titled ” What Nobody Told You About Depression ” authored by the celebrant.
