

The Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government ,Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede today, fondly remembers his late mother, Alhaja (Chief) Taiwo Almaroof, four years after her passing. A trailblazer in her time, she was the first female councillor representing Oshodi-Isolo under the old Mushin Local Government and a former Iyaloja of Oshodi, as well as former chairman, Lagos State Market Advisory Council under the military Governors ,Gen. Olagunsoye Oyinlola and Brig. Gen. Buba Marwa respectively
In a heartfelt tribute released by his media office, the chairman reflected on her enduring legacy of love, discipline, and unwavering support. He described her as a pillar of strength, a woman of great wisdom, and a leader who dedicated her life to the progress of Oshodi.
“Today marks 4years you left this mother earth with a refined and enduring legacy of uprightness, love, inclusiveness, discipline, peace, mutual understanding, respect, motherly care, affections and an all-embracing virtues that distinguish a personality. All these memorabilia still continues to oil the relief of the pains you left in my heart.”
“Your death left a big vacuum in my heart but the memory of your tenderness and how you stood for me and my siblings to survive this wicked world still get me through my lonely days.”
He continues, “Losing a mother, although is a part of life which no human can query because it’s nature. But in reality; hmmm now I know what it means to be loved and left alone Cheers to my super hero Iyami; Iya Ibeji.”
As the community continues to build on the foundation laid by great leaders like Alhaja (Chief) Taiwo Almaroof, the chairman reaffirmed his commitment to upholding the values she stood for: service, integrity, and development.
