In a press release en-signed by Delta Police Command PRO SP Bright Edafe today 12th July 2024, INSIGHT GLOBAL NEWS report that The Commissioner of Police Delta State CP Abaniwonda Olufemi led the DCP Operations, the squadron commander 31PMF and DPOs across the twenty-five LGAs to the CBN office, Asaba, Delta State for the inspection of Local Government election materials and safe escorts of both sensitive and non-sensitive materials to the various Local Governments Areas.
The CP issued a firm directive that the DPO’s must personally lead all materials safely to the various destinations and assured all residents, and electorates that the Command will ensure that the election is conducted peacefully and hitch-free.
CP Abaniwonda further reiterated the restriction of movement from 8AM to 3PM on election day while noting that NABTEB examination students and people on essential duties will not be affected by the restriction order. The CP urges electorates to be law-abiding and peaceful during the exercise.
