The Delta State Police Command, under the leadership of CP Yemi Oyeniyi, psc, acipm, mnips, has activated a comprehensive, intelligence-led security framework for the 2026 computer-based Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), scheduled to hold from Thursday, April 16 to Saturday, April 25, 2026, with operatives strategically deployed to all thirty-one (31) accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres across the State for a secure and hitch-free exercise conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
The Commissioner of Police has directed all Area Commanders whose jurisdictions host CBT centres to assume full responsibility for security at the centres, ensuring strict supervision of personnel, sustained visibility policing, rapid response capability, and close coordination with Divisional Police Officers, Tactical Commanders, and examination officials, with particular focus on intelligence gathering and the protection of ICT infrastructure against any attempt to compromise the integrity of the examination.
The Command reiterates that examination malpractice, impersonation, or any form of disorderly conduct will not be tolerated, and offenders will be promptly arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the law, while candidates are advised to comply with all guidelines, conduct themselves responsibly, and arrive early at their centres.
