In an unprecedented epoch making event attended by notable Stakeholders at the Farmers Empowerment Initiative, Senator Yunus Akintunde has received applause and commendation with pledge and commitment to still “Do More”.
The empowerment program which held barely one month after the first phase of empowerment programs where farmers were significantly supported held at Oba Adeyemi Mini Stadium at Oyo in Oyo Central Senatorial District.
In attendance at the event were Senator Ayoade Adeseun a former Senator of Oyo Central Senatorial District and leader of APC in Oyo State, Party Leaders led by Alahji Olanite Oyo APC Secretary, Alhaji Mogeed Olaoya, APC Oyo South Senatorial chairman, Olawale Sadare the Oyo State APC Publicity Secretary, Mr Abass Adewunmi, Oyo State Chairman of Association of Famers in Nigeria, many traditional rulers and religious leaders.
Senator Adeseun with enthusiasm extolled the virtues of excellence and unique representation exhibited by Dr Yunus Akintunde quite evidence in the quality of impactful programs reeled out during the program.
“I’m particularly impressed about your sterling performances and proud to associate with your laudable achievements within the short period of eighteen months after your inauguration as a Senator. You have surpassed expectations ” Adeseun enthused.
Other notable Stakeholders including Baale Oleyo Alhaji Kabiru Olajide expressed the appreciation of the people of Oluyole Local Government for the construction of Ayegun Oleyo road and several other projects facilitated through Senator Akintunde.
In his response to several accolades and appreciation on his report of excellent scorecard with sterling projects, Senator Akintunde promised to continue to be steadfast on his commitment to improve on the quality of life of the constituents while also appreciating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the Executive collaborative efforts with the National Assembly on these various empowerment programs.
Representing Dr Ishiak Khalid, the Director General of National Agricultural Seeds Council at the event Mr Adeseko Adekunle a Regional Director indicated further interest in the working synergy with Dr Yunus Akintunde who has shown significant synergetic capacity and drive with the National Agricultural Seeds Council, the Agency in collaboration with Senator Akintunde on the Farmers Empowerment Initiative program.
