It was a memorable day to behold for Corps Commander Patrick Dung Douv who retired after meritorious service of 28 years with The Federal Road Safety Corps on his 60th birthday the 2nd of October, 2024.
A joyous gathering indeed for his amiable wife, his FRSC Colleagues and well wishers nation wide to see a dedicated, blunt, hardworking, good listener officer according to Pastor Akintan to bow out of service .
DCC Lucas Oguntade welcome address highlighted Corps Commander Davou’s leadership and commitment to service. As he reeled out his achievements of operational vehicles
“It is a great privilege to witness the celebration of a fulfilled career of an exceptional Corps Commander Patrick Davou, who resumed as Sector Commander RS2.1, Lagos, two months ago, whose personal anthem is, ‘I am here to work, and I will never be tired till the last day’. DCC Lucas pronounced Com. Patrick’s achievements by making RS2.1, Lagos as the number one position in the committee of Sector Command in Lagos which still retained its number one position as Sector Commander in Lagos .


Goodwill messages poured in for Commander Davou’s dedicated active services to his mother’s land as Corp Commander Adefowope Modupe who was transferred to Lagos at the same time in July, 2023 could not but praised his great impact of four operational motorbikes during his tenure at the sector ”
Representative of the President FRSC Assistant Officers’ Wives Nigeria in person of Mrs. Rasheedat Kareem, in her emotional good will message appreciate Commander Davou for his fatherly support for his colleagues and all that crosses his path , her words:. “We are saying goodbye, but it’s a new beginning for you, sir. you have worked so hard, it’s time to spend time with your family. Saying goodbye to colleagues might be painful, but retiring is a chance to see new opportunities. We thank you for your support and say goodbye, wishing you all the best.”
Hon. Olusegun Odunbaku, Chairman of Ojodu Local Government, who represented Hon. Faleke praised Commander Davou’s integrity, courage, and patience. Saying; “We at Ikeja- Federal Consistency bid farewell to CC Davou Patrick, whose name will be remembered, be written on golden plague for his commitment, integrity, courage, and patience, putting welfare obligations above his personal interest. His reputation has been nothing short of exceptional.” Odunbaku concluded.
The testimony was enormous as Jesutomipe Bala, Staff Officer, called Commander Patrick Voun Douves a goal getter who believes there is diligence in Labour ”

Retired CC Patrick Dung Douv in his brief speech acknowledged the support of various stakeholders family most especially his wife for holding forth the home front while away ;
“I thank every citizen of Lagos State, Security task force, stakeholders, and the youth leader for being supportive, as well the Reverend Father for his intercessions. I also thank my lovely wife, and a grandmother who is always there for me , my absence at home did not hinder her training all the children and taking care of the home.” he affirmed as CC Dung tendered his sincere apology to those he might have offended one way or another in the course of services to the nation , for the betterment of mankind.
Retired Corps Commander Patrick Dung Douv is an indigene of Plateau state Nigeria , Barki Ladi Local Government to be precise ! Born on the 2nd of October, 1964 , joined FRSC on April 1, 1996
