FRSC, Guniness 2025 Ember Months Safety Enlightenment flag off

In a laudable dimension of safety awareness regarding the Ember Months, Federal Road Safety Commission ( FRSC) in collaboration with Guinness Nigeria Plc held a town hall meeting which involved different stakeholders, Safety and security sister agencies.

The annual awareness held Ogba area and environs to a stand still, those that honour safety as a measure of longevity could not but be present at the famous Excellent Hotel , Lagos for the “Ember Months” town hall meeting.

The Ember Months for year 2025 was ” Take Responsible for your safety; Stop Distracted Driving” was analysed by some stakeholders who took their time to speak with Insight Global News Editor:

Mr Rotimi Odusola from Guinness Nigeria reiterated the slogan of ” Don’t Drink and Drive” and if any motorist need to drink, it should be responsibly, not before or on the wheel for the safety of other roads users across Nigeria most especially in a busy city like Lagos.


Alhaji Olawale Ajilo is a Lagos chieftain of the National Union of Road, Transport Workers ( NURTW). Alhaji Ajilo commended FRSC doggedness over there years in seeing to Nigeria safety most especially during the festive , yuletide period. He said FRSC remain NURTW best friend for through this long aged safety awareness lots of lives has been preserve though out of twelve there can always be a Judas. Ajilo concluded that with FRSC’s safety conciousness there has always been disciplinary measurements for any violated members or drivers at Lagos parks and garages.

Pastor Ayodele’s brief speech appreciated safety impactive measurements of FRSC as he didn’t resist calling security, safety agencies in Lagos state to order for most of these agencies form of arrest leads to multiple accidents. He concluded all members of National Union of Road Transport Workers ( NURTW) are skilled drivers, law abiding responsible citizens who values safety by having the slogan of ” Don’t Drink and Drive” dearly to their hearts.
Pastor Ayodele assured a successful, positive feedback of the town hall meeting to his Principal.

The incumbent Chairman of Trucks, Cargo and Maritme Truck Owners of Nigeria Alhaji Shittu Lukman Zangalo was so impressed to be at the FRSC’S Ember Months stakeholders town hall meeting for the very first time.
Alhaji Zangalo commended FRSC for such intensive awareness as he confirmed to the media that saftey conciousness and discipline has been in the Trucks / Cargo Association of Nigeria from time memorial and there has always been frequent lectures to the truck drivers pertaining rules that guides motorists as the association always implore truck owners to put their vehicles in order before plying the road.


His words” I am very glad to be here for the very first time; it has been from one meeting to the other all because of safety. In our association no truck driver is allow to ply the road without necessary safety signals of the vehicle. We lecture our drivers always on consciousness of other road users like pedestrians, Tricycles riders, Motorcycle riders, Danfo drivers and the likes. We made our truck drivers know that the road is not meant for trucks alone hence no intimidation or humiliation of a lesser vehicles as any driver found guilty will be sanctioned immediately. Alhaji Zangalo affirmed discipline for truck owners who refused to put their trucks in order as he concluded by imploring the FRSC and other safety agencies to temper justice of issuance of exuberant fund for minor offences.

National Drug Law Enforcement Agencies (NDLEA) personnel were not left out of the FRSC’S Ember Months stakeholders town hall meeting as Deputy Commander of Narcotics Mrs Titilope Ogunluyi applauded FRSC for a relentless efforts regarding safety at the Ember Months and always.
DC Titilope affirmed NDLEA, FRSC cordiality of both agencies as drugs, Narcotics, beers is an avoidable intakes among Nigeria drivers either on the wheel or not.
She urges motorists to be conscious of lives and properties entrusted in their hand during the yuletide and always.

As the Ember Months safety enlightenment flag off with Nigeria creme -la- creme in securities, safety consciousness was been rounded up, the host Sector Commander CC Ganiu Kehinde Hamzat affirmed to attendees that the 2025 theme” Take Responsible for your safety’ Stop Distracted Driving simple connote ” Easiness”, It means ” Take it easy on the wheel” .
Sector Commander Hamzat urged the media to projects and promote necessary safety tips consciousness on their various platform as he concluded by saying” Safety is a choice made by individual”
