In a continued effort to deepen inter-agency synergy and enhance the overall security architecture of Delta State, the Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, psc, acipm, mnips, alongside members of the Command Management Team, paid courtesy visits to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
During the visit to the NSCDC, the CP was received by the State Commandant, Commandant Chinedu Fabian Igbo. The Commissioner underscored the critical role of collaboration among security agencies, noting that effective policing thrives on timely intelligence sharing, mutual respect, and coordinated operations. He appreciated the existing partnership between the Police and the NSCDC, particularly in the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure, and called for sustained cooperation in addressing emerging security challenges across the State.
Similarly, at the FRSC Sector Command (Sector 5.2), the CP was warmly received by the Sector Commander, Charles Eyo Edem. The CP commended the Corps for its commitment to road safety management and reduction of traffic-related incidents. He stressed the importance of joint efforts in ensuring public safety, particularly along major highways, and emphasised the need for continuous information exchange and operational support between both agencies.
In his remarks, the CP reiterated that synergy remains the cornerstone of effective security operations, adding that no single agency can achieve optimal results in isolation. He assured both agencies of the Commandās readiness to strengthen existing ties and explore new avenues for collaboration, especially in the areas of crime prevention, emergency response, and public enlightenment. The visits form part of the CPās broader engagement strategy aimed at fostering unity of purpose among security stakeholders and reinforcing a collective commitment to safeguarding lives and property in Delta State.
