In a bid, to forestall untoward acts of economic sabotage and other forms of criminality, the State Commandant , Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command, Mr Adedotun Keshinro has continued with his collaborative efforts with traditional stools and stakeholders in various communities.
The Lagos State Commandant today, Wednesday, 21st August, 2024, visited, His Royal Majesty ( HRM ) Oba Nureni Alani Akinremi Olomitutu, Onijegun of Ijegun in his palace. The visit was aimed, amongst other things to appreciate the Oba and his chiefs for handing over office buildings and accomodation meant for the new divisional office in Ijegun headed, by Superintendent of Corps Temitope Areago.
His Royal Majesty ( HRM ) Oba Nureni Alani Akinremi Olomitutu, Onijegun of Ijegun, extolled, the Corps for living up to expectation in Lagos State regardless of its challenges. The Corps according to him has been able to deliver on the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure in his environment, the state and across the federation, since it was regularized, in the year, 2003 as a full fledged paramilitary agency. To further assist the Ijegun Kingdom the Oba and his chiefs deemed, it fit to hand over office spaces to the Ijegun division of the command, which would be renovated and befitting, within a few days to come.
The Lagos State Commandant also seized, the opportunity, to engage with the Joint Community Development Association ( JCDA ) led by its Chairman, Alhaji Olayemi Ashaka, who also promised, to galvanize other chairmen of CDAs to render the needed support to the division.
He further charged, all Area Commanders and the Divisional Officers to ensure they forestall any form of economic sabotage around their Areas of Responsibility ( AOR ) . He advised that their collaboration, with traditional institutions and stakeholders will also aid the gathering of credible and actionable intelligence that will in turn help to emplace the adequate protection, security, safety and needed peace in various communities across the state .
