

In line with the directive of the Commandant General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, the Lagos State Command has completed, its sensitization, awareness campaign and seminar for the personnel of the Command, drawn from across all formations, departments and units, to receive adequate and informed knowledge on the the theme; “incessant Job racketeering and financial fraud.” The training was organized, by the Anti – Fraud Unit of the Command and concluded, today, Monday, 9th December, 2024, at the State Command’s Headquarters, Alahusa, Ikeja, Lagos.
The Lagos State Commandant, Mr Adedotun Keshinro said that it was important to train personnel on financial ethics and how they could save themselves from needless financial embarrassments in the service. He further advised, personnel to be prudent, live within their means, save for the rainy days, avoid needless and shameful borrowings but rather he encouraged them to embrace delayed gratification.
However, the Lagos State Commandant warned personnel that after this sensitization and seminar, officers, who have been bringing shame and embarrassment to the service, through these and various forms of financial indiscipline will no longer be allowed to do so, as serious measures have been put in place to curb the menace in our dear service .
The seminar also featured, in-depth lectures and analysis, from senior officers such as; Deputy Commandants of Corps Toyin Evans, ( facilitator ), Olumuyiwa Michael ( facilitator ) and Assistant Commandants of Corps Selina Fakunle ( Head of Anti – Fraud Unit ), Adebimpe Bada ( Facilitator ). The participants also were allowed, to ask questions and make their individual contributions during the seminar.
