His Royal Majesty Oba Abdulfatai Aremu Aromire of Ijora- Iganmu kingdom , Lagos state pronounced the dethronement of his six community head ( Baale) for misconduct.
The pronouncement was made on June 30th, 2025 at his palace in the presence of Ojora In- Council aftermath the chiefs participation at the campaign flag off of a Labour party chieftain in the area .
Oba Aromire was disappointed as he felt leaders of a community under his watch should be focused rather than being a partisan.
The Baales involved are: Chief Lateef Ojora of Alaba Oro, Chief Saliu Biliamin of Alafia Dodoro, Chief Taiwo Hassan of oke Ira, Chief Idris Oladipupo Ojora of Abule kere, Chief Hakeem Oseni of Mosafejo Amukoko and Chief Sule Raji Balogun.
In a tone marked by disappointment and authority, Kabiyesi stated that the chiefs’ actions were in violation of their duties. He reiterated that no chief should make decisions or act on his behalf without his consent as they all serve to represent him and uphold the traditions of the land.
Ojora of Ijora-Iganmu kingdom’s dethronement of his six chiefs underscores his commitment to maintaining order and coherence within his leadership structure.
At the gathering , Oba Aromire commended the present government ongoing development initiatives in Ojora land, expressing his commitment to continue supporting the administration as it fosters growth and progress for the kingdom.
Oba Aromire’s decisive action has reaffirmed significance transparency , collaboration of the traditional institutions regarding representation in political matters, reminding all chiefs of their dues while under the umbrella of the esteemed Ojora Kingdom.
