On Wednesday, 21 January 2026, the Nigerian Navy commissioned the Mollah Primary Health Care Centre in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State under the auspices of Chief of the Naval Staff Special Intervention Quick Impact Project (CNS-SIQIP). The project, facilitated by Rear Admiral Kohath Gyelpanyi Levi, forms part of the Nigerian Navy’s sustained civil–military cooperation efforts aimed at improving access to quality primary healthcare and directly impacting the wellbeing of host communities.

Before the commissioning ceremony, Rear Admiral Levi paid a courtesy visit to the Tol Hulba, His Royal Majesty Tol Alheri Bulus Nyako, to seek royal blessings and reaffirm the Navy’s respect for traditional institutions. At the commissioning, the Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abbas (Admiralty Medal) was represented by the Director of Policy, Naval Headquarters, Rear Admiral Adamu Yahaya. His remarks emphasized that the project reflects the Navy’s commitment to people-centred initiatives that complement government efforts in strengthening primary healthcare delivery. He also noted that the facility would reduce preventable diseases and improve maternal and child health outcomes for residents of Mollah Town and surrounding communities.

Pertinently, community leaders and beneficiaries expressed deep appreciation to the Nigerian Navy for the intervention, describing the health care centre as timely and impactful. The event reaffirmed the Nigerian Navy’s resolve to strengthen civil–military relations through the CNS-SIQIP, while contributing meaningfully to sustainable development and improved quality of life in Adamawa State.

The Health Care Center was commissioned by the representative of the Executive Governor of Adamawa State Rt Honorable Ahmadu Fintiri who was ably represented by Pharmacist Zirra Mathias Bubanani, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health and Human Services, Adamawa State.
The event also attracted top government functionaries in Adamawa State, including the Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, senior government officials, traditional rulers, sons and daughters of Mollah Town, and representatives of neighbouring communities. The presence of high calibre dignitaries underscored the broad stakeholder support for initiatives that promote grassroots development and social welfare.
