 The Commandant General of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi mni, OFR. has reiterated the need for State Commandants, College Provosts, Head of various Formations and Zonal Commanders to effectively discharge their duties in tandem with the Acts of the NSCDC, the code of ethics and Standard Operating Procedures of the Corps, National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report.

The CG expressed his determination to conduct an operational tour across the States of the federation soonest.”This meeting is highly central and germane to the corporate existence of the Corps.U are advised to upscale your operational performances and achievements in agreement with the Corps’ Statutory mandate”.Dr Audi hinted that there would be a Performance evaluation to appraise and examine the activities of every State Command and how the Commandants have effectively carried out his duties in line with the Corps mandate as enshrined in the establishment Act 2003 as amended in 2007.

he Commandant General explained that the NSCDC is saddled with the task to protect all critical national assets and Infrastructure, disaster management and mitigation, regulation of activities of Private Guard Companies, Agro Rangers by protecting agro allied industries and mediating between farmers and herders amongst others.He further commended Taraba, Kwara, Kaduna and Kano State Commandants for making positive impacts in their respective states which has resulted in the donation of 11 additional Operational Vehicles to NSCDC Taraba State Command, while 10 old operational vehicles were refurbished by the State Government.He tasked the ACGs and State Commandants to mentor their subordinates appropriately; noting that such gesture is capable of entrenching efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery.

CG Audi called on the participants at the meeting to always communicate administrative policies to their subordinates, adding that officers and men of the Corps should ensure high discipline and strict adherence to standard operating procedure in the discharge of their respective duties.

In the highpoint of the meeting the NSCDC Gender Policy documents were distributed to all State Commandants for onward presentation to State Governors, States Assembly amongst

others .
