Following the recent redeployment of very senior officers of the NSCDC, Commandant Francis Nnadi JP has assumed office as the new State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Ebonyi State Command.
The seasoned security expert took over command from the outgone Commandant, Dr. Elijah Etim Willie on Thursday 31st of October, 2024 at the State Command Headquarters, Abakaliki, Ebonyi state.
Speaking after the Handing and Taking -over ceremony, the new NSCDC Ebonyi State Commandant appreciated the outgone Commandant and promised to build upon the success recorded by his predecessor, stressing that the task of moving the command forward was the critical responsibility of all.
He urged the personnel to key into his agenda in moving Ebonyi command to greater heights with particular attention to commitment to assigned responsibility, dedication to duty, disposition to training and retraining and display of discipline at all times.
The new NSCDC State boss expressed his gratitude to Dr. Ahmed Audi, the Commandant General for finding him worthy of the appointment assuring of his determination to key into the vision of the CG in delivering on the Corps mandate.
The erudite and thorough-bred law enforcement, highly disciplined, detribalized and a goal- getter is committed to wielding these attributes to ensure the protection of lives and Critical, National, State and Local Government Assets in Ebonyi State.
The new NSCDC Ebonyi helmsman mindful of the yearnings of the good people of Ebonyi State is seeking the support and cooperation of members of the public in subduing all forms of crime and criminality in the State.
Highlights of the ceremony were the signing of the Handing and Taking Over notes, and presentation of the service flag to the new State Commandant.
Comdt. Francis born on the 6th of December, 1974, hails from Ndiuloukwu Izombe in Oguta LGA of Imo state. After his primary education, he obtained his senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) from Maryland Comprehensive School Ikeja Lagos, before proceeding to Federal University of Technology Owerri ( FUTO) where he graduated from Electrical/ Electronics Engineering Department with second class honours (upper division) in 1996, he performed his mandatory one year National Youth Service Corps program with AGIP Rivers State in 1997.
In 2020 he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Philosophy, and capped it with another Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, in the year 2004 at the University of Lagos, Lagos State.
He was drafted to Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in 2007 from a sister security agency, and placed on the rank of Chief Superintendent of Corps in 2011. He was promoted to the rank of Assistant Commandant of Corps in 2014, Deputy Commandant of Corps in 2020, subsequently Commandant of Corps in 2024.
His illustrious career traversed from NSCDC National Headquarters Abuja , Lagos State Command, NSCDC Zone A, Zonal Command Headquarters, Lagos , Kebbi State Command, Ondo State Command and Anambra State Command to mention but few.
Comdt . Francis possesses vast experience and knowledge in Investigation, Operations and Administration. He has held strategic positions across the country, including: Head of Investigation/ Intelligence Department, Zone A Zonal Command in 2008, Arms Squad Commander, Head of Investigation/Intelligence Department, Technical Department, Anti- Vandal Squad, and Disaster Management Department all in Lagos State Command, he served as Head of Counter Terrorist Unit Kebbi State Command, Head, Intelligence and Investigation Department, Anti-vandal Unit , Administration and Operations respectively at Ondo State Command, he was the Deputy Commandant in charge of Private Guards Company Department in Anambra State before his promotion to the enviable rank of Commandant of Corps and subsequent redeployment to Ebonyi State as the State Commandant.

He earned several honours and awards for his meritorious service in strategic operations.
CC Francis was at the Holy City of Jerusalem , Capital of Israel for a pilgrimage in 2008 which earned him the title Jerusalem Pilgrimage (JP) .He is a member of several professional bodies and associations such as the Ondo State Senior Staff Club ( Tennis family), and Fabulous Minds Social Club of Nigeria. He is happily married and blessed with children.
