The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Anambra State Command has assured the Federal Road Safety Corps,FRSC of its support in road safety management across the state.
The Anambra State NSCDC Commandant, Maku Olatunde stated this on Tuesday 20th of August, 2024 when he received a familiarization visit from the Anambra State FRSC, Sector Commander, Joyce Alexander at the state Command Headquarters Awka.
Comdt. Maku assured the FRSC of the NSCDC’s continued support, stating ” we will not relent in offering assistance to the FRSC in its efforts to restore sanity on the roads. I appreciate your visit , and I assure you that I will not hesitate to lend my support in any areas you may need our services”.
“Your predecessor and I had a strong working relationship, and I’m committed to maintaining, if not strengthening, that partnership with you. Our collaboration has been instrumental in achieving notable outcomes. We’ve often relied on FRSC’s expertise and resources, particularly their database of vehicle registrations and driver’s licenses, which has proven invaluable in our investigations,” he emphasized.
Earlier, the FRSC Sector Commander commended the NSCDC for its progress and expressed gratitude for the warm reception. She called for strengthened collaboration between both agencies, particularly in intelligence sharing and operational support during mobile court sittings.
Alexandra stated, “As you are aware, the Federal Road Safety Corps plays a vital role in supporting NSCDC and other security agencies through our collaborative efforts. Our extensive database of registered vehicles and driver’s licenses is an invaluable resource in investigations.”
She continued, “I am here today to request your cooperation and ask that you extend the same level of support, if not more, that you provided to my predecessor. Your continued partnership is crucial to our shared success.”
