Please be notified that sequel to a slight amendment in the Burial Arrangements of Prof Ben Nwabueze SAN, the Chairman of the National Committee, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, GCON, CFR, former Secretary – General of Commonwealth and Leader of “The Patriots”, in conjunction with the Natịonal Secretary, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyawu, CFR, CON, World Leader of “Eze Ndi Igbo”, has requested the Secretariat to put out following as the final Burial events for the attention of the Burial Sub – Committees, Members of the Patriots, and General Public:
A. Tuesday, 20th February, 2024 – National Colloquium/Dialogue in Lagos by the Patriots
B. Thursday, 22nd February – Valedictory Court session in Lagos by Lagos State Judiciary
C. Friday, 23rd February – Day of Tributes in Lagos by the Family and the Patriots
D. Thursday, 29th February – Family Private Burial Ceremony in Atani, Anambra State
E. Friday, 1st March, 2024 – Tributes and Celebration of Life in Atani, Anambra State
Prof Ben Obiefuna Nwabueze (SAN, NNOM, CON) (1931 – 2023), aged 92 years, was an Elephant of the Nigerian Civil Society and Pro – Democracy Community. So, we give honour to whom it is due, by paying our last respect to the departed National Leader, Eminent Jurist, Icon of Constitutional Law, Hero of Democracy and Mentor.
However, attendance is open to all eminent Nigerians, Maximum security guaranteed. May his soul rest in peace!
