DECROSS Gospel Mission is indeed the headquarters of Praise as it recently received the crème de la crème of society, most especially in the circuit of Nigerian Gospel singers in honor of Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey Fabiyi, who turned 82 on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.

It was a gathering celebrating the positive impact of Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey’s countless lyrics in the lives of Nigerians, both present and future.

Octogenarian evangelist Fabiyi expressed his gratitude for God’s faithfulness over the years from the Book of Psalms 92, verses 1-4.

Agege-bred APC Stalwarts: Hon. Dr. Samuel Adejare, Hon. Ogundimu, and Hon. Adaranijo, who were not only staunch members of the church but also elders of the DECROSS family, recounted how Evangelist Obey Fabiyi brought them to Christ as young individuals and continues to stand firm with them in prayers in all their endeavors to this day.

Rev. Dr. Julius Odofin described the celebrant, as an embodiment love, loyalty and commitment to God. “He is consistent to ensure the happiness of others”, Rev. Odofin concluded.

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, in a brief interview with the media, stated his presence, along with that of Chief Dele Momodu, was to surprise the celebrant, using him as a point of contact to wish for longevity.

The lively Osun State Governor Adeleke thrilled the audience with his favorite Ebenezer Obey’s lyrics, as he, along with Elder Dr. Samuel Adejare, Elder Ogundimu, Elder Adaranijo, Esther Igbekele, Mega 99, and countless attendees, bestowed prayers of longevity, good health, and a sound mind upon the celebrant, who recently underwent a prostate enlargement surgery.

In attendance at this glorious occasion were The Obey Fabiyi dynasty, Oba Adedapo Tejuosho and his Queens, Mrs Bola Obasanjo, socialist Chief Abiola Ogundokun, Baba Adewolu, Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi, Rev. Idowu Animasahun ‘ Apola King’ ( Evag. Ebenezer Obey’s very good friend of over 50 yrs), Sir Shina Peters, St Janet, and other prominent Nigerians, both at home and abroad, too numerous to mention.

Bishop Folarin Obey Fabiyi on behalf of the families and the church appreciated attendees for the affection bestowed on his father, even at very short notice.
