Recently, on the 19th of January, 2024 to be precise; , GlobalQuest Tourists club visited Ipokia in her tranquility, met HRM Oba Yisa Olushola Olaniyan Adelakun ( Ariwigbade, Orijaojoogun, The Oshingin The 2nd of Ipokia Kingdom whom according to history was one of the 4th recognized monarchs in Ogun state by the British as far back as 1938.
Kabiesi – Orijaojoogun warm reception was marvelous as he led the tourists on how IPOKIA origin, the kingdom that entails 147 town for over centuries came to be.
Ipokia indigenes are predominantly farmers, whose local delicacy is ‘Tuwo’ ( a food made from powdered corn). do not toy with their forebears believe in Ogun the god of iron, Alale, Ibosia, Egungun, Oro and other gods whom the Ipokia’s providence depend on despite the acceptance of Islamic and Christianity religion in the kingdom.
The Oshingin of Ipokia do not hesitate to tell the tourists lots of tourist attractions which involve over 400 years old three local drums called ‘Gbedu” ;

Ipokia is a town of a mysterious,. awesome discovery where horses were not permitted to visit.
Though, well developed and advance under the Kingship of HRM Oba Yisa Olushola the 46th king of Ipokia as the tourists noticed several social amenities like ;. conducive learning environment for pupils and students, street lights, tared roads, customary court, maternity home/ health center .
Yet , Oba Olaniyan is imploring Gov. Dapo Abiodun administration to put in their best possible for the good people of Ipokia Kingdom in Yewa area of Ogun state to enjoy more of the dividend of democracy as Onipokia urged Nigerians to be patience with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration for all will be well and rossy in due time .
