Saturday 26th of April 2025 will remain fresh in the memory of Timothy and Lucy Oziokwo as both said ‘I Do’ at St Peter Catholic Church Ota, Abeokuta Diocese under the supervision of the Parish Priest Very Rev Father Clement Ajibola Ashade.
Fr. Paul Agordi was the Chief celebrant of the Mass, Fr. Joseph Nwopkor joined the couple in the Holy Matrimony. Other co-celebrant priest is Fr. Noel Ikhianosime .
The groom in his brief interview with INSIGHT GLOBAL NEWS Editor could not but be over excited and praise Holy Mary for a wish come true as he married Lucy an Ado Odo Ota born lady of an Islamic background.
In his excitement mood Timothy said’ I met her in the church in 2017, her devotion to the work of God moved me and here we are today , I am just too happy ‘
The bride also admitted to her husband’s words; she thank God Almighty for seeing them through a lot of hurdles before the wedding proper.
Miss Monica Oluchi Oziokwo an elder sister to the groom was very emotional, she believed Timothy’s wedding has broken jinx of unnecessary delay in the nuclear family of Felicia Ijeoma Oziokwo.
Monica wished the couple happy marriage, open doors of opportunities to the groom who has been the bread winner of the family since the demise of their fathers Pa Daemi .
The sponsor of the wedding Mr and Mrs Emmanuel Dialaema could not hide their happiness and gratitude to God for the success of the wedding which both have been nurturing through constant advice, guide, prayers and finances if needs arise before and after marriage according to the rite, tradition of the Catholic Church.
When been queried regarding inter tribal marriage ; Mrs Blessing Dialaeme could not hesitate to tell the media and Nigerians that ‘ Is the love been preach by Jesus Christ; as no discrimination in the house of God , regardless of religion background, ethnic groups or race, we are one family as I and my husband are very happy to be sponsor of such an examplinary wedding she concluded.
Sir Ray Ogbonna was also proud of the groom whom he claimed was his boy from his teen as he welcomed the union of an inter tribal marriage .
The sponsor, Mr and Mrs Emmanuel Dialaeme admitted so far they are involve , Almighty God is in control of the wedding forever.
Mr and Mrs Chukwudi Dialaeme wished Mr and Mrs Timothy Oziokwo an indigene of Ebonyi state in Ohaukwu Local Government Area to be precise a very blissful, peace of mind home now and always.
