

The Oyo State chapter of the Oodua Peoples Congress, New Era, has congratulated Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin and Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi on their recent elevation to prestigious chieftaincy titles by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin (Ige Olakulehin I).
In a statement issued on Saturday in Ibadan and signed by the State Coordinator, Comrade Sunday Babalola Dabiri, the OPC New Era described the conferment of the Aare-Alaasa Olubadan of Ibadanland on Senator Folarin and the Ajia Olubadan of Ibadanland on Chief Sanusi as “well-deserved recognitions of their outstanding service, leadership, and commitment to the progress of Ibadanland and the Yoruba nation.”
“The elevation of Senator Teslim Folarin and Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi by our revered Olubadan is a testament to their enduring contributions to community development, public service, and the preservation of our cherished cultural heritage,” the statement read.
“Both men have distinguished themselves as illustrious sons of Ibadanland, and their new roles will further inspire unity, peace, and prosperity among our people.”
The OPC New Era also commended the Olubadan for upholding the rich traditions of Ibadanland and for recognizing individuals whose achievements continue to uplift the community.
“We pray for wisdom, strength, and divine guidance for the newly elevated chiefs as they assume greater traditional responsibilities. May their tenure bring more blessings and progress to Ibadanland and the entire Yoruba race,” the statement added.
The Oodua Peoples Congress, New Era, pledged continued support for initiatives that promote the welfare, unity, and cultural advancement of Ibadanland and Oyo State at large.
