

The Alaba International Market in Ojo, Lagos, came alive on Thursday, April 16, 2026, as traders, political leaders, and stakeholders gathered for the commissioning of an industrial borehole constructed by Hon. Olawale Aganga-Williams.

The project, designed to improve access to clean and potable water within the busy commercial hub, was officially commissioned by former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Her Excellency Princess Serah Sosan Adebisi, amid cheers from traders and community members who described the initiative as timely and impactful.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Aganga-Williams reiterated his commitment to grassroots development and the welfare of his constituents. He emphasized that access to clean water remains a critical necessity for both residents and business owners, assuring the community of more people-oriented projects in the future.
The event attracted notable political figures, including the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Tolani Sule; the Executive Chairman of Oto-Awori LCDA, Hon. Kareem Abiodun Azeez; and the former Chairman of Ojo Local Government, Hon. Yinka Durosinmi. All commended the initiative, describing it as a reflection of responsive and responsible leadership.
In her remarks, Princess Serah Sosan Adebisi praised the effort and encouraged continued support for leaders who prioritize the needs of the people. Similarly, Hon. Durosinmi expressed satisfaction with the project, highlighting its direct benefits to traders and residents.
The President of the Amalgamated Alaba International Market, High Chief Camilus Nnamdi, expressed deep appreciation on behalf of the market leadership, reaffirming their support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and pledging continued mobilization for the party.
Also speaking, the market’s Public Relations Officer, Hon. Buba Bello Muhammed, commended Hon. Aganga-Williams for fulfilling his promise, noting that the borehole would significantly ease the daily activities of traders who depend on water for their businesses.
