It was a black Sunday on May 11, 2025, as two young dispatch riders tragically lost their lives in a devastating road traffic crash on the Eko-Apongbon Inward Bridge, Lagos. According to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Lagos Sector Command, the fatal crash occurred at about 12:45hrs and involved two articulated trucks and a motorcycle. The vehicles, identified with registration numbers T-10357 LA and KJA 107 XM, collided and it resulted in a 20-foot container falling off one of the trucks, crushing the two unsuspecting dispatch riders instantly.
