The CEO Nubia Africa Television, founder Heritage Humanitarian Foundation Princess Aladegoroye has registered her displeasure regarding her son’s ordeal over WASSCE, GCE year 2024.

Aladegoroye said,

I am actually stressed up and bitter because of the frustration and circumstances of my son who sat for the GCE, WASSCE examination in Nov/Dec 2024.

The frustration started with the fact that a brilliant promising student is subjected to systemic failure by reasons of discrimination and withholding of his results by WAEC even when his NABTEB certificates should have gotten him direct entry to the university.

The young man with examination number :5251101693 sat for the WAEC, WASSCE in the recent Nov/Dec 2024. Despite the fact of his excellent results and awards vis-a-vis NABTEB certificates. For reasons only known to WAEC his result was withheld.

My son is a talented coder, programmer, graphic artist, he builds drowns, makes different softwares, produces game apps , build robots, and repairs anything that moves. He is good in Hydraulic systems and fluid, MECHATRONICS, and ICT, great mind with special interest in engineering abilities from birth,This made us to focus and nurture him through technical college where his talent became noticeable and harness

He has written several professional examinations at a tender age and passed all at a sitting with distinctions. Because of his early life traits which we feel proud of until recent events.Certificate held by my son are,FESTO – GERMANY,,CISCO – USA NABTEB, FEDERAL MINISTRY OF LABOUR AND PRODUCTIVITY CERTIFICATE I, II, III, FEDERAL MINISTRY OF TRADE AND CRAFT CERTIFICATE, LAGOS STATE ICT CERTIFICATE

Absolutely! That was part of the reasons why we decided on the pathway of technical education with the hope of building a nation with such mindset

The young man has not being his usual self for sometime because of the frustration he has been subjected to by reasons of systemic issues which includes unnecessary delay in gaining admission at the University. Due to the fact that certain universities does not accept NABTEB CERTIFICATE

We have contacted our family solicitor who has written to the WAEC authority without any response from the WAEC.

The young man is feeling so dejected and frustrated, this is causing panic at home.

In my advocacy for recognition of NABTEB certificates: I firmly posited that most of the students in Technical Colleges are not dullard but gifted children who needs to be encouraged on their skills in this era of Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), particularly in our beloved country Nigeria.

We plead with the president,Minister of education, chairman house committee on Education to make NABTEB CERTIFICATE mandatory acceptance in all Universities and JAMB needs to also make it mandatory for all UTME SCHOOLS to accept the NABTEB CERTIFICATE.

THE DISCRIMINATION OF NABTEB CERTIFICATE IN NIGERIA should stop because the Technical Colleges should be considered first in adminision into Faculty of Engineering in all Universities.

I really want the WAEC authority to release my son’s results without further delay.
