One of the branches of United Bank for Africa (UBA) in Lagos state, housed in the iconic Afriland Towers, was engulfed by fire on Tuesday, 16th of September, 2025.
Although there have been no records of casualties, at the time of filing this report, Lagos fire service was still evacuating individuals trapped inside the building.
In videos that went viral, some staffers of UBA were seen jumping out of the high-rise building window to save their lives and avoid being lynched by the heavy fire.
This development comes few months after Nigerian prophet, Primate Elijah Ayodele warned the bank to be careful against fire incident in its branches.

The development has no doubt fulfilled the prophecy of Primate Ayodele but beyond that, it is an indicator that people donāt listen to the warnings of Godās servants, leading to them paying heavily for it.
When the prophet warned the financial institution in July, it wasnāt a means to seek attention because he is well renowned, it wasnāt for him to become popular because he is famous already but to warn them about an impending danger that could cost life.
As an institution with several branches and so many things at stake, one would have thought that they would have worked on enforcing several measures to prevent the outbreak but they clearly didnāt because, leading to incident.
This is a call to those who have been warned by Primate Ayodele and other credible prophets of God to take these warnings serious. Itās not every prophet that is fake, it is not every prophet that wants their money, some like Primate Ayodele are genuinely called by God and it would be disservice to oneself if their warnings are ignored.
