The former Secretary to the Oyo State Government (SSG), under late Governor, Alhaji Lam Adeshina, Chief Michael Koleosho, is died.
Koleosho, who was a prominent politician in Oyo State, died on Monday night at the age of 86.
He was the Babalaje of Saki, his hometown, and a renowned figure in Oke Ogun, Oyo State and Nigeria.
Earlier this year, Governor Seyi Makinde signed into law the bill to rename the Oke Ogun Polytechnic after Koleosho, who played a significant role in the establishment of the institution in 1981.
Koleosho was also a former national chairman of Alliance for Democracy (AD).
As Yoruba Youth Leader of Decades, from the noble and Progressive extraction, I worked closely with him and I was equally at his House, in Akobo Bridge/General Gas Area, Lagos/Ibadan Express Way, Ibadan, early last month.
As a leading figure in Afenifere/National Democratic Coalition (NADECO), he was a trusted Ally of all Afenifere/NADECO Leaders, including the 2 former Governors, 1st governed old Oyo State and 2nd administered present Osun State, I mean the late Minister of Justice and Attorney – General of Federation, Chief Bola Ige, SAN, and the Interim National Chairman of All Progressives’ Congress (APC), who doubles as Chairman, Governing Council, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State, Chief Bisi Akande, respectively
Our Leader, Chief Koleosho, was a Grassroots’ Mobiliser, dedicated Politician and a team player.
May God Almighty give his families, friends and Associates, the fortitude to bear this irrepairable loss. We must thank God for a life well spent by him.
May his soul rest in peace.
