In a brief interview conducted in Yoruba language, the mother of the child expressed her anguish over the repeated maltreatment of her son.
‘I am also a worker in the school where the teacher beat my son. That was not the first time she would be doing that. I reported to the school authority, though they promised to see to it but nothing was done until this happened.
As a single mother fending for his upbringing I had no choice than to just watch the happenings , no husband to report the situation to because his father died while he was a year and some months old.
I do menial jobs for a living. I want Nigerians to help me with his education.” She concluded.
