
Yesterday (19th July 2024), the Coordinating Team of Kit The Child Project paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Abdulhamad Salawu (Duller), Chairman Somolu Local Government Council to share the vision of the project and also seek his partnership and support. The project is distinctly aimed at giving one thousand (1, 000) primary school pupils school bags and books ahead of school resumption in September.
The Chairman, Hon. Abdulhamad Salawu (Duller) warmly received the team and pledged his support after the Project’s PRO outlined that the project will cushion economic stress for parents and sharpen the minds of the pupils ahead of school resumption. He also expressed his appreciation to both Peener Paul Foundation and WeDey4U Initiative for choosing to touch lives of residents in Somolu Local Government Area.
Proactively, the Chairman set up a 3 Man Committee to work with the Team. The committee members are Prince Adeeso Adesina ( Councillor and Chairman, House Committee on Education), Hon. Lateef Ashimi (Special Adviser on Education) and Hon. Oseni Shamsideen (Chief Press Secretary). The Chairman directed that the committee should meet with the team, review implementation plan and advise appropriately while assuring the Coordinating Team of his support and commitment to the Project.
Other members of the Coordinating Team present were Adedoyin Peener Paul, Kelvin Okeme, Funmilayo Hundeyin and Theophilus Agada (Project Photographer).
