As a Coalition of civil society organizations strategist, we call on Nigerians to ensue violence and maintain peace after critical analysis and dissection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu policy reform Agenda. It is most awkward to observe how some seemingly powerful individuals in the country are playing vulnerabilities of an average Nigerian in the clog of reforms initiatives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Most people do not have requisite abilities to see beyond the clouds and read huge potentials of this administration’s reforms Agenda to lift our great country out of the woods to put the nation on the paths for sustainable industrial & socio-economic development. For instance, the removal of the fuel subsidy regime ought to conveniently safe over $10 Billion which a few cabals have been siphoning from nation’s lean resources. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu most crucial economic reform was the decision to remove fuel subsidy. This has been widely applauded globally by financial institutions and patriotic economic experts.

Some of the key reforms introduced by President Tinubu includes:

  • Cash Transfer Program: Aimed to give 25,000 Naira ($15) to 15 million people within a three months period. As well as encouragement of Social Intervention Palliatives by other political Stakeholders, State and Local Governments, even by National Assembly members.
  • Minimum Wage Increase: Raised from 30,000 to 70,000 Naira,
  • Economic Reforms: Tinubu’s administration has initiated economic reforms aimed at liberalizing the exchange rate and privatizing the petroleum industry.
  • Petroleum Industry Reforms: The removal of the fuel subsidy has paved the way for privatization in the petroleum industry. The most significant is coming on stream of DANGOTE REFINERY.
  • Leadership Changes: President Tinubu has made significant leadership changes, including the suspension of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s governor, Godwin Emefiele. Most Nigerians are won’t to consistently recall the harrowing hardships the country experienced under Emefielie disastrous economic sabotage with his currency re designing policy, leading to , “No Cash” era.
  • Anti Corruption Fresh Air. The shake up in the anti graft agency has made to rethink the perception of the agency as a partisan bull dog to haunt only opposition forces. The travails an ex Governor of Kogi State is an eloquent testimony in this regards.
  • N75bn to fund enterprises at 9% per annum to strengthen the manufacturing sector between July 2023 and March 2024. – Government engagement of local manufacturers by injecting #75 billion into the sector which serves to create more job opportunity, reduction of drug abuse by unemployed youths and reduce level of poverty within the country.
  • N125bn to energize MSME.- Giving of grants to Small and medium enterprise owners will quicken the ripple effect of government intervention to the poor. More people will be remove from unemployment to employer of labour.
  • 225,000 metric tonnes of fertilizer, seedlings and other inputs. The initiative as quicken home grown farm produce.

As a group, the highlighted above reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led Federal government is note worthy which will definitely take time to have physical impact on the people but with patience Nigerians will smile with no time.

Let’s our hope be alive that our Nation will be great soon.
